About Us
Celtic Boys was formed in 1983 by Michael McDonnell. Jim Heaney, Barney Kane, John Porter and the late Stephen McCleave. The picture on your left is of our 1st team ,way back in 1983, seen at Glasgow Celtic's training Ground Barrowfield. From here on in our club has expanded drastically and we now have over 120 kids currently playing their football with Celtic Boys.
Over the years we have produced a lot of fantastic players who have gone on to play their football in many leagues, like the Scottish, English & Irish leagues to date. These players include Neil Lennon (Celtic FC), Pat McAllister, Barry Jonston, Johnny Flynn, Kieran O'Connor, Conor Hagan, Ronan Scannell, Gerry Taggart, Laim Burns, Fra Murphy, Micky Collins, Noel Corrigan, and many more!
As we are now into 2008-09 season we hope to continue the clubs successful ways. We have seen a lot of talent come and go throughout these years and many stars in the making, and we hope to keep providing young kids with the opportunity of fulfilling their dreams to become a football star. 
We have just recently started a U16 and U14
girls team. The team is coached by Karen Kilifan and Margaret Kennedy. There has been a huge interest so far, we have already signed up over 30 girls and this includes three players who are in the Northern Ireland International Development Squad. The girls will take part in the NIWFA 'Dale Farm' League which commences in April 2009. To keep up to date with all thats going out check the 'Girls U16' tab at the top of the page.
